I am an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Smith School of Business, Queen's University. I received my PhD in Marketing and Behavioural Science from the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia.
My primary research is in consumer behaviour, with a particular focus on identity, social influence, and interpersonal relationships. I am passionate about understanding how consumers' social identities and perceptions of others influence their decision-making, and currently pursue this research stream in several contexts: (1) The effect of romantic breakups on consumers' switching behavior, (2) The role of racial and political identity in everyday consumption decisions, and (3) Prosocial gift-giving. My secondary research program is in moral and ethical judgments. In this stream, my papers examine the role of various individual differences as they relate to (im)moral decision-making. |
