I am an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Smith School of Business, Queen's University. I received my PhD in Marketing and Behavioural Science from the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia.
My primary research stream focuses on consumer-brand relationships. In my dissertation, I explore why some consumers avoid commitment and tend to have fleeting relationships with service providers. I am also passionate about understanding how consumers' social identities, interpersonal relationships, and perceptions of others influence their decision-making, and currently pursue this research stream in several contexts: (1) The effect of romantic breakups on consumers' switching behavior, (2) Political identity and service evaluations, and (3) Prosocial gift-giving between friends. Lastly, I also research the role of various individual differences as they relate to (im)moral decision-making. |
